HR Manager

Do you have previous experience within a shared service environment either as a team leader/ manager or are you highly experienced in transactional HR with some leadership ability?

Hybrid, Slough based role within a fast paced environment supervising 8 members of staff.

You must be comfortable working at speed whilst maintaining attention to detail and have the ability to multi task and prioritise work. Are you highly organised, able to plan, delegate, prioritise and coach team members to improve performance?

What does the HR Team Lead role involve?

  • Supervising staff members in a busy, transactional HR environment
  • Provide a comprehensive HR administrative and first line advisory service for all employees in the business.
  • Manage caseload, prioritise and allocate tasks in the team.
  • Manage the outcome from business audits ensuring the People outcomes are reviewed and implemented.
  • Be responsible for the employee lifecycle documentation in line with policy and guidelines.
  • Manage the administration of voluntary and contractual benefits.
  • Proactively coach, develop and manage the performance of the team in 121 and team meetings.
  • Suggest and implement process improvements that will contribute to more efficient working practices – be a subject matter expert for all operational HR processes and share knowledge as appropriate with team.
  • Ensure effective controls are in place to meet GDPR and other auditable processes.
  • Motivate and develop engagement in the team.
  • Manage the Senior hire on-boarding and lifecycle (e.g. new Execs)
  • Support Head of People Service in People projects (pay award, TUPE, new benefits, policy updates etc.)
