Inside Sales Representative (Technology Industry)

Our fantastic client based in Windsor are looking for an Inside Sales Representative to join them. You must have experience within a technology-based industry and have a genuine interest in technology. You will be supporting the sales team who are selling the technologies

Role Overview

You will work closely with marketing professionals by helping to set up outbound marketing campaigns and dealing with inbound inquiries. You will be heavily involved with on-line written and verbal communication, but also supporting industry trade events and the company’s seminars.

You will support the Sales Team by contacting customers in which have already shown an interest in the company’s products and services. Your role will be to engage with these customers and provide the sales team with interested customers.  Ultimately you will be prospecting, qualifying, educating, rapport building, persuading and nurturing these customers.

You must be capable of listening carefully to the needs of the potential customer, rapidly organise their thoughts and arguments, while remaining professional, empathetic, and keen to develop the business relationship into a fully qualified marketing lead.

Role Responsibilities

  • Make first contact and nurture a prospect relationship into a marketing qualified lead.
  • Represent the values of the company by being the professional first point-of-contact during the initial qualification process, and thereafter if where appropriate act as a secondary contact.
  • Work closely with the appropriate Sales team throughout the processes for campaign creation and execution, and especially lead qualification.
  • Ensure the company’s products and services are described and positioned accurately and fully.
  • Ensure relevant contact requests are fulfilled, e.g. send them information or inform them of on-line resources, ensure appropriate colleagues follow-up.
  • Use the marketing automation process for contacts to self-qualify and help improve and tailor the process to meet campaign needs.
  • Improve the quality of the contact list by constantly reviewing and amending the relevant databases, in order to provide a rich base for future marketing and sales campaigns.
  • Attend occasional offsite meetings with Account Sales Managers.
  • Keep the Marketing team and Market Development Manager fully apprised of the quality of the contact lists and marketing and sales campaign effectiveness, provide feedback and participate in business support meetings.
  • Assist with idea generation for specific campaigns and help develop new sales propositions.
  • Attend events and seminars and industry specific workshops to obtain market data to utilise as a benchmark for creating new lead opportunities.
  • Social media lead generation, to include:
    • Develop brand awareness, generate inbound traffic and cultivate leads and sales.
    • Create quality information to attract ideal customers.
    • Monitor, listen and respond, to users in a “Social” way while cultivating leads and sales
    • Analyse campaigns and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising the Social Media campaigns.

Qualifications

Essential

  • At least 2 years business to business level sales expertise qualifying and selling software or other technically related products to companies through verbal and written communication and campaigns.
  • Strong customer relations skills.
  • Strong problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable, in terms of attendance, productivity, and completion of company process, especially documentation.

Desirable

  • Experience in working with Sales and marketing teams to plan and achieve business goals.
  • Knowledge of common computer desktop applications, such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and sales force automation and customer relationship management systems and databases.

Salary:

Up to £45,000 DOE.
