Marketing Manager

Marketing Manager – 12-month contract to start in September

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Marketing Manager to work for a leading training and development organisation based in Marlow. The role is a 12-month maternity cover and is a stand-alone role supporting a highly successful consultancy.

The Marketing Manager will be responsible setting the company’s marketing & communication’s strategy, executing its communication and managing implementation of marketing initiatives. You will be expected to continue executing the current marketing plan and build on this and develop new marketing strategies which contribute to the business’ success. This is a great opportunity to make a difference in a highly successful and profitable business.

Key duties:

  • Managing all marketing planning and implementation for the company
  • Developing the marketing strategy for the company in line with company objectives
  • Overseeing the company’s marketing budget
  • Continuously reviewing marketing initiatives and making improvements / optimisations accordingly
  • Creation and publication of all marketing material in line with marketing plans
  • Planning and implementing promotional campaigns
  • Manage lead-generation campaigns, measuring results and implementing improvements
  • Overall responsibility for brand management and corporate identity
  • Measuring all marketing activities and reporting back results to the account management team
  • Creating a wide range of different marketing materials
  • Working closely with marketing agencies and assisting with new ‘product’ launches
  • Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant company functions are kept informed of marketing objectives
  • Maintaining and updating the company website and all associated domain subscriptions
  • Ability to adopt and use multiple different marketing platforms quickly with a self-learning approach
  • Align marketing with the sales effort, setting expectations and agreeing processes, to be delivered by the account management team
  • Managing the production of marketing collateral, such as, blogs, social media posts, podcasts, whitepapers etc
  • Quality checking all marketing collateral, ensuring it aligns with company’s brand guidelines
  • Social media copy-writing of posts on a monthly basis

Requirements:

  • Previous marketing experience
  • Comfortable with autonomy, responsibility and being open with others
  • Insight and passion for marketing and managing projects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and copyrighting skills
  • Confident and versatile in building new relationships at a variety of levels
  • Comfortable working in a B2B environment
  • Highly proactive with excellent prioritisation skills
  • Ability to action tasks promptly and juggle many different projects at any one time
  • Desire to make a real difference to the business
  • Expert with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Experience of WordPress is a bonus but not required
