Academic and Student Support Manager

Do you have the following?

  • Understanding of UK Higher Education system
  • Understanding of the different types of programme administration support queries from supporting a student’s journey from enrolment to award
  • Previous experience at working with a University, including working knowledge of academic registry and programme support functions and student engagement

We are looking for someone to join the team in London  (E1 postcode) as an Academic and Student Support manager!

This is a hybrid role working for one of the largest learning service organisations in the UK, developing skills and capabilities for everyone from apprentices to business leaders.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and team leadership of Academic Support and Student Engagement staff working for the London Faculty.

What are the key responsibilities for the Academic and Student Support Manager?

  • Ensuring high service standards, excellent and consistent practice of support for all delivered programmes. This includes reviewing, developing and implementing University-wide processes in line with accompanying policies and working closely with administrative and academic colleagues.
  • Lead and manage designated professional support staff ensuring an effective service is delivered efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough working knowledge and understanding of partnership regulation and provide advice to colleagues when required.
  • Providing a key point of contact on student and programme administration matters.
  • Working collaboratively with internal and external colleague on projects such as managing the start of year activity.
  • Overseeing enrolment for London Campus; planning dates, ensuring communication is made to wider team and managing all student enrolment.

Previous experience:

  • Working in the higher education sector in a similar or related position.
  • Knowledge of academic registry and programme support functions and student engagement.
  • Line management and developing staff.
