AV Installer

Are you experienced in installing AV equipment?

We are looking for an AV Installation Lead to join a leading AV and IT rental company!

Based out of Wokingham, the client are looking for an exceptional Engineer to join their dedicated team.

You will be travelling to events around the UK and installing the equipment and helping in the warehouse when needed.

Main responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will be responsible for the Preparation and in many cases Installation of a wide range of AV and IT solutions. The scope of work can range from single items of equipment to large scale event rollouts across UK and Europe.
• Support the sales team in providing working solutions and ensuring that prepared equipment is complete, functional, and able to provide the required scope.
• Liaise with customers to understand their needs and requirements.
• Provide onsite support of equipment during customer events.
• You will be measured on your technical excellence, eye for detail and provision of first class technical on-site support.
• Support all other internal engineering departments.

Key requirements:

• Experience as an AV and IT Installation Engineer in the exhibition and/or events industry will be an advantage as there will be limited training.
• Be an outstanding team player, working well with others; and willing to learn and help others learn a constantly changing variation of equipment.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively at all levels, both written and verbally.
• Ability and willingness to travel across the UK and Europe as required. (Travelling in Europe will be very occasional.)
• Have a flexible, adaptable approach in terms of working hours.
• Excellent organisation and time management skills.
• A dynamic individual who will work over and above the job description all in the name of enabling us to deliver great events for our clients.
• Whilst not essential, someone who could be trusted to supervise at client installation sites of small teams of internal and contract staff.
• A full clean driving licence.
