Business Development Executive FMCG

Do you have a passion for wine and a minimum of 2 years sales experience within FMCG?

Due to promotion this fabulous company in Oxfordshire  need a new Business Development Executive to support the Senior National Account Manager in delivering agreed business targets for the relevant customer base alongside taking full accountability
for a small portfolio of nominated accounts.

This is a varied sales role and is a great mix of sales and commercial. You will be responsible for about 30 different accounts within FMCG, fine wines etc

£30,000-£35,000 basic salary plus 20% bonus and £5,750 car allowance

Main duties

Account Management:
• Work closely with the Senior National Account Manager to develop long term growth business plans for specific accounts
• Cross functional working to deliver robust plans by customer
• Support the ongoing planning and management of promotions throughout the trading year providing supporting analysis where required –aligning to key events and ATL (Above the Line) marketing campaigns
• Network all personnel in key accounts to develop & identify sales opportunities
• Attend monthly account review meetings as part of the internal Business Planning Cycle
• Prepare for and attend customer facing meetings as required
• Input and present at quarterly internal business reviews
• Support the allocations, distribution and sales of the portfolio
• Attend and manage customer roadshows and wine tastings
• Support staff training events
• Outlet visits to monitor implementation of activity
Administrative support:
• Maintain promotional plans  to optimise sales forecast accuracy
• Manage & process invoices, claims and deductions to agreed levels
• Complete new line forms, product information and price change forms as required
• Contact for coordinating sample requests & pricing queries
• Analysis and optimisation of promotional activity in key customers
• Creation and distribution of monthly offer to regional accounts
Account Specifics
• Support for national on trade distributors
• Support for off trade wine specialists
• Help with Managed pubs and restaurants
• Full responsibility for selected regional wholesalers and fine wine merchants
