A fantastic brand new opportunity has arisen for a Senior Business Development Manager, Head of Business Development within a leading charity and professional body, based just outside of High Wycombe.
Some office based work is required but flexible/home working options can be accommodated
Excellent opportunity to make this role your own as it is newly created, you will have one direct report
What will I be doing?
Reporting to the Director of Membership, you will be responsible for leading structured business development activity to penetrate new sectors, based on data, analysis, planning, content creation and thought leadership.
You will also raise the profile, awareness, and relevance of the company in target sectors to deliver revenue growth.
What skills and experience do I need?
- Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal) – you will be communicating with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Educated to degree level (desirable).
- Experience of working in a customer facing commercial role.
- Sales and business development experience at senior level
- Creative, out of the box thinking
- Evidence of successfully entering new markets or sectors.
- Experience of delivering growth ideally within a education/learning/membership environment and/or not for profit sector as well as within a blue chip sales environment
- Critical thinking / ability to manipulate, interpret and utilise data.
- Presentation skills.
- Planning and long-term thinking.
