This is a fabulous apprenticeship opportunity in Camberley, Surrey for someone wanting to start a career in HR
There is a potential for the successful candidate to complete a CIPD qualification via an apprenticeship scheme which will combine on the job learning and experience, with a formal HR qualification.
This is a newly created role to provide HR administration support and assist the HR Manager and HR Advisor with a wide range of HR processes.
£20,000 plus CIPD training paid for by the company
Duties and responsibilities of the HR Administrator Apprentice will include:
- Dealing with day to day HR queries related to pay, benefits and HR policies and procedures
- Recruitment administration including logging applicants, circulating candidate information, coordinating psychometric tests, arranging interviews, responses to enquiries / applications and destruction of data
- Creating HR files on our electronic HR system and maintenance of all data held
- Assisting with reporting, analysis and collation of HR data to provide management information as requested
- Preparing offer letters, contracts and offer of employment documents and assisting in keeping these template documents up to date
- Assisting with the onboarding of new starters to include first day arrangements, booking in induction training sessions and producing induction schedule, new starter paperwork, ensuring new starter checklist is completed in full by all teams etc
- Completing employee screening i.e. right to work checks, qualification checks, references, DBS checks etc
- Maintaining the staff handbook by updating this as and when required
- Assisting with the set up and administration of employee benefits including holiday, pension, employee discounts, employee assistance programme and anniversary gifts
- Assisting the collation and preparation of payroll information
- Administration of staff changes and leavers to includes letters of variation, leaver letters, payroll amendments, email notifications etc.
- Diary management and prompting of HR team, HoDs and staff re: key dates and tasks e.g. outstanding signed paperwork, probationary periods, performance reviews etc
- Assisting with the production of annual pay review and bonus letters
- Assisting as a notetaker in formal meetings e.g. disciplinary and producing typed notes of meeting minutes
This apprenticeship will also include study release to attend Farnborough College of Technology on an afternoon evening basis and work towards a CIPD Level 3 Foundation Certificate in People Practice. The duration of the apprenticeship is 18-24 months from the commencement of the CIPD Level 3 course.
The ideal candidate will have 5 GCSE’s Grade A* to C or 9 to 5 including English and Maths, good typing and keyboard skills, knowledge of Microsoft office / IT skills, previous administration work experience is desirable, previous client / customer service experience is essential, strong interpersonal skills, good attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines.
