We are currently looking to appoint an Internal Technical Sales Advisor to support the internal Sales and Project team within an engineering environment. You will be responding to customer enquiries and completing pricing tenders. Alongside this, once confident, you may also be required to help the existing team develop a database of potential customers through networking, lead-generation and face-to-face customer interaction.
Due to location just outside of Marlow, Bucks, a car owner is essential
Hours are Monday to Friday 0800 to 1730
The Person Needed
You will need to be motivated, eager to learn, determined and resilient with a positive attitude. As well as these attributes, the successful candidate will have excellent listening and communication skills, be articulate over the phone and face to face, have commercial sense and demonstrate integrity.
Experience within internal sales would be ideal, someone used to working in a technical environment, working with part numbers etc.
Or maybe a bright graduate with an engineering/technical bias looking to get into an Internal Sales role
This is not a cold-calling role or business development role, it is responding to customer enquiries by incoming emails or phone.
Responsibilities
- Responding to incoming calls, emails and enquiries from customers
- Manage existing customer relationships and eventually become a Key Account Manager for certain accounts
- Enter and maintain customer details, order processing, producing project pricing tenders and running production and delivery schedules
- Work closely with both the internal and external sales team as well as production and purchasing
- Work to tight tender deadlines, under pressure while multi-tasking
- Acting as a source of information regarding market intelligence and potential business gained through customer feedback
- Keeping accurate records of all correspondence with customers
- Coordinating communication with all departments across the business to ensure all business leads and interests are dealt with effectively and efficiently in a timely manner
- Keep up to date with market news
- Some exposure to marketing may be involved, so an aptitude for marketing may be very useful
