As a Business Systems Manager, you will be responsible for the effective delivery, management and the UK operation of 50-60 colleagues operating from the Thame HQ site, as well colleagues working from home, and support to the Swedish sales office.
You’ll need proven experience within a business systems management role, with strong knowledge of IT change projects. Whilst providing hands on support, as the business systems manager you will work closely with the management team to develop a strategic roadmap for IT and systems to ensure the business grows and operates efficiently.
As well as supporting desktop workstation users, you’ll be supporting warehouse, repair and staging colleagues, who critically require smooth running of label printers, barcode scanners and Windows & Linux imaging service.
We are looking for someone who will play a proactive leading role to ensure the smooth running of IT within the workplace and to drive efficiencies through the affective use of information and communication technologies. The role will also require contribution to business objectives, strategies and plan.
Responsibilities
- Office 365 administration, including Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive.
- Network administration (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPN access, backups).
- Administration and maintaining SQL databases.
- Administration and maintaining the business-critical systems and services.
- Represent Business Systems at Management meetings and provide monthly management reports for review.
- Implement new systems from inception and system identification through to fully operational.
- Managing resources within budget.
- Maintain the security of the network and electronic documents.
- Manage 3rd party vendor relationships (In conjunction with the Technical and Operations Directors)
- Consult users to ascertain needs an ensure user needs are understood and met.
- User training, support, and advice.
- Testing systems to ensure that they operate reliably.
- Design maintenance procedures and ensure they work operationally.
- Induct new employees with IT resources and best practices.
- Managing the support Mobile Phones.
- Any other Business Systems / IT duties as required.
Essential
- Demonstrable experience in designing/implementing and delivering strategies and projects on time and in budget.
- Management experience in a similar role.
- Process driven, with a keen eye for detail.
- Experience in SQL based solutions (highly advantageous).
- Strong professional communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organisational skills, administrative and planning experience.
- Can implement business decisions with energy and commitment; proactive and supportive.
- Have a strong knowledge of information security, antivirus protection methods, and encryption tools.
- Trustworthy and able to maintain confidentiality and the ability to Handle Confidential Information.
- Set a personal example with regards to health and safety matters
- Ability to prioritise workload and work well under pressure.
