We are looking for a motivated and reliable Logistics Operative to join a busy warehouse and logistics team based in Portsmouth.
You will be supporting with Goods-In, Despatch, customer asset collections, van driving (drivers licence required), and general warehouse operations
This is a hands-on role offering a salary of £26,000 per annum for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities for the Logistics Operative role are:
- Perform goods-in duties, including unloading vehicles, checking and unpacking deliveries, and completing accurate data entry across multiple systems
- Pick stock for dispatch, check inventory, and pack goods ready for shipping
- Asset-tag new stock prior to storage in the warehouse
- Move and transfer stock within and between warehouses, ensuring all movements are accurately recorded
- Maintain tidiness and organisation across the warehouse
- Assist drivers with on-site collections, deliveries, and asset management
- Complete regular inventory stock checks to ensure stock integrity
- Assist with waste and recycling operations, including WEEE equipment
- Escalate operational issues to management promptly
- Support the team to maintain an efficient workflow
- Undertake ad-hoc tasks as requested
Skills required for the Logistics role are:
- Current, clean manual driving licence (essential)
- Advanced PC skills, including Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of health and safety in warehouse environments
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy at speed
- Able to work under pressure and manage priorities effectively
- Flexible and willing to undertake a wide range of duties
- Understanding of stock movement, warehousing, logistics, and shipping
