Night Matron

Night Matron for one term as a maternity cover, from 6^th May to 5^th July (there is a half term in between these dates too).

Our client are looking for an enthusiastic Night Matron to join their team in a junior boarding house as a maternity cover. This is a term time only position and night time accommodation will be provided.

The hours: required will be flexible and will require being on duty through the evening and night – 8pm to 8am, five out of seven nights. Weekend working will be required.

The role: The role of a Matron is one of trust and responsibility. The Matron will not only manage the domestic standards but will deal with the health and welfare of pupils. The Matron has a special role assisting the team to create a happy, respectful and caring atmosphere in the house.

Qualifications and/or experience:

• Qualifications in childcare, training in nursing or in a health and social care setting would be an advantage.
• Must be a driver with own car
• First Aid trained would be perfect but will be provided, if necessary.

Salary:

£20K, so works out at £9.80 an hour. All year-round equivalent salary would be £30,576 per annum.
