Portfolio Executive (Internal Sales)-home based

Fabulous, varied HOME BASED role supporting and assisting in the day to day management and growth of the companies portfolio and providing full support to the Internal Sales teams. As Portfolio Executive, you will develop a strong working relationship with  Vendors, Partners and Suppliers and ensure that the systems accurately reflect the portfolio that they are taking to market.

Home based but occasional travel to the Head Office in Wokingham, Berkshire

What will I be doing?

• P&L management. To be aware of the financial aspects that affect the profitability of the portfolio and to assist in the management of these variables
• Portfolio management, new course introduction and courseware development. To work closely with Portfolio leads, Sales and Marketing, Operations and Finance to successfully onboard new learning offerings.
• Price list setting and bid pricing. To be aware of competitive market pricing and to recommend any changes to pricing policy, ensuring the company remains both competitive and profitable.
• Fill Rate and scheduling decisions. To make recommendations on the management of course schedules so as to maximise revenue, fill rate and profitability in consultation with Operations and Resourcing Management.
• Market and competitor analysis. To continually monitor and analyse the activities of our competitors not only to provide us with a benchmark but to ensure we can react quickly to any promotions etc. which may have an impact on our business.
• Sales support. To provide regular support to the Sales team and to help in the production of sales collateral and the maintenance of sales communication tools.
• Business planning and strategic direction. To provide feedback to the portfolio leads to help in the production of business plans and strategic goals.
• Vendor relationship management and partner/supplier management. To develop an effective working relationship with key contacts at our Vendors, Partners and suppliers. Ensure processes are clearly documented and readily available for review within the business.
• Marketing and promotional initiatives. To work with the Sales teams to ensure they are aware of the latest promotions and have easy access to available collateral.
• Web site content. To work closely with the Marketing team to ensure the companys website provides accurate information on the relevant vendor’s products, promotions and programs.

What skills and experience do I need?
• The Portfolio Executive will  have had previous experience working within an internal sales team, preferably within a technology/training organisation
• Strong attention to detail
• A good sense of commercial awareness and business acumen and is results driven
• Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships at all levels
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Displays tenacity and ability to use own initiative and creativity
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good time management with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise as necessary
• Excellent multi-tasker with the ability to problem solve
• Highly organised with the ability to plan and monitor information
• Confident in the management of change
