Recruitment and Payroll Assistant

This is a 6 month contract and would suit a recent graduate or someone with at least 6 months of admin experience.

Based on the outskirts of Maidenhead, this hybrid role is working for an education and learning organisation.

You will be helping with the recruitment of the seasonal staff and assisting with payroll. 

Working hours:

  • Monday-Friday 9.00am- 5.30pm
  • Weekend work required on a rota basis

Salary: £24,000

Main tasks:

  • Source and screen applicants
  • Schedule and carry out interviews
  • Amend and update job descriptions
  • Issue contracts to successful candidates with Recruitment Manager
  • Maintain accurate employee records using a Single Central Register
  • Process accurate weekly staff lists
  • Archive all centre recruitment documentation and chase outstanding documents
  • Comply with GDPR and Data Protection regulations, as well as our accreditation guidelines
  • Learn and assist with the payroll process for 400 seasonal employees
  • Attend and assist with specific management training sessions
  • Respond to Recruitment Inbox enquiries
  • Process payroll report, cleanse data, and enter missing details
  • Update payroll import sheet on a fortnightly basis for 400 employees
  • Send new starter data and import sheet to our external accountants on a fortnightly basis
  • Ensure that salary deductions are correct
  • Cross check all payroll data
  • Respond to all payroll queries using a customer-orientated approach

You will need:

  • Over 6 months of administration experience and ideally an undergraduate degree
  • Basic Microsoft Excel skills
  • Demonstrable ability to learn quickly and multitask
  • Strong and professional communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment
  • Proficient time management skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to use discretion when handling confidential personal information
  • Eligible to work in the UK and 18 years old or over
  • You will also need to be a car driver due to the location
