An exciting opportunity to join an expanding sales team as a Business Development Executive. Our client is a growing manufacturer in the industrial sector. The role is to generate and qualify new leads, and onboard new customers in order to generate sales.
Up to £25,000 plus £6,000 in commission on top
Responsibilities include:
- Qualifying inbound leads – converting them from marketing qualified to sales qualified.
- Following up on leads from specific campaigns, such as events and exhibitions or sponsored social lead generation.
- Targeting prospects who have been identified within customer segments, qualifying them to a sales ready state.
- Account- based approach to key prospects, using multiple channels – LinkedIn, email, phone, etc to develop relationships and nurture the opportunity to become sales ready.
- Initial meetings with prospects, via Teams or telephone, to qualify their requirements.
- Setting up new customer accounts (where applicable).
- Initial product training with resellers.
Personal attributes
The role requires somebody who is able to convert active enquiries into trading customers, as well as nurture prospects. It requires an astute individual who is able to very quickly learn the industry, products and proposition of the business. Having the ability to self-start and remain motivated to deliver optimal results is key to this role. Being results-orientated and accountable to deliverables is essential.
