Are you an experienced Finance professional with a knowledge of supporting a business as a whole?
We are looking for a Finance Business Manager to join a leading charity just outside of High Wycombe, Bucks, in Princes Risborough.
Job role:
You will lead the finance business partnering while ensuring active engagement between the companies operational and support departments and the Finance department. You will: be a trusted advisor; provide strategy support; aid business planning, budgeting, and forecasting oversights; support business case preparation including financial modelling of new and existing products; provide costing/ pricing decision support; and oversee finance representation for organisational and departmental projects including IT systems.
Working hours: 35 hours per week, hybrid working available
Salary: Circa £50,000 DOE, plus bonus
Key responsibilities (A full breakdown of responsibilities can be provided):
- Business partnering: develop a culture of finance business partnering across the organisation
- Business Planning and Budgeting
- Forecasting: oversee the production and reporting of accurate quarterly forecasts
- Financial Leadership: deputise for the Head of Finance and provide expertise to other members of the Finance Team
- Cost control
- Ensure all business cases are assessed for financial viability/alignment with corporate objectives
- Cost modelling and price list maintenance
- Business process improvement: Identify and implement (systems) solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness of finance activities
- Draft CFO papers for business planning and budget (annual), membership pricing (annual), forecasts (quarterly), business performance (bi-monthly in conjunction with the Finance Manager) and others as required
- Support of legacy and new financial/ IT systems
- Support the Head of Finance in identifying operational and corporate risks
You will need:
- Qualified ACCA/ CIMA/ ACA or qualified by experience
- Substantial practical experience of reporting up to Board or executive management
- Experience in providing accurate and timely information to a very high standard
- High level of financial modelling
- Experience of business planning, budgeting and forecasting
- Experience of thinking strategically as well as tactically to propose financial management solutions
- Ability to highlight trends and detect financial inconsistencies when analysing and summarising detailed financial and non- financial information
- Good working knowledge of computerised accounting systems
- Understanding and application of financial strategic tools such as discounted cashflow, breakeven analysis etc.
- Confident and effective communication skills including the ability to understand different audiences
- Highly developed numeracy skills and data interpretation
- Leadership skills
- Proven ability to build and maintain productive and cooperative working relationships with the Executive team and budget owners in a changing environment
