We’re recruiting a Studio Assistant for a specialist interiors business based in the countryside just outside Twyford.

This is a varied, hands-on opportunity for someone who loves interiors, has an eye for detail and enjoys being creative. At the heart of the role, you’ll be quality-checking, ironing and dressing bespoke handmade curtains and Roman blinds, ensuring every order leaves the studio looking immaculate.

Alongside the practical studio work, you’ll help keep things running smoothly, look after a library of 400 pattern books and create engaging social media content with support from the Marketing Assistant.

No two days are the same, offering a fantastic opportunity to learn about craftsmanship, interiors, marketing and the running of a specialist small business.

The salary for this role is up to £25,500 depending on experience working a 35 hour week.  You will need to be a driver due to the location of the office.

Main responsibilities for the Studio Assistant role:

  • Quality-check, iron, steam and dress bespoke curtains and Roman blinds, ensuring every order leaves the studio to the highest standard.
  • Maintain studio supplies, monitor stock levels and place orders when required.
  • Organise and maintain the library of 400 pattern books, including updating prices.
  • Create social media content, photograph finished products and studio life, and assist with scheduling posts.
  • Respond to customer comments and enquiries across social media.
  • Support the smooth day-to-day running of the studio and contribute to the wider business as it grows.

Skills required for the Studio Assistant role:

  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing work to a high standard.
  • A practical, hands-on and proactive approach.
  • Creative flair, with an interest in interiors, photography and social media.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills.
  • Confident communication skills and a friendly, positive attitude.
  • Enthusiasm to learn, take initiative and develop new skills.
  • A flexible team player who is happy to get involved in all aspects of the role.

If you’re enthusiastic, organised, full of ideas and enjoy getting stuck into a varied, hands-on role, we’d love to hear from you.
