Merchandising Assistant

Fantastic organisation based in Marlow require a Merchandising Assistant with ideally retail/merchandising experience and a good knowledge of excel.

The Merchandising Assistant will be responsible for the stock planning, forecasting and range management using strong analytical skills. Also supporting the stock merchandiser and category manager to achieve the agreed sales and stock budget.

THE ROLE

  • Review line level forecast and sales performance, making recommendations to raise new orders and manage intake phasing within the stock budget.
  • Review trading performance daily to ensure sales are maximised, and stock turn optimised.
  • Proactively review category performance and propose action to be taken by Category manager regarding promotional activity and end of life management.
  • Work with the merchandiser to build and update relevant seasonal reports.
  • Support the Merchandiser by producing and analysing reports,
  • Manage stock replenishment to maximise availability and stock turn within Budget
  • Other ad-hoc duties.

REQUIREMENTS

  • The Merchandising Assistant will ideally have a retail background
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a Head office buying or stock merchandising role would be perfect but not essential
  • Highly numerate, competent working with data and Excel
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong team work ethic, well organised and a confident communicator.
