New Business Manager

Varied, interesting role where you will be researching and identifying new clients by sales calls, marketing, attending conferences and networking events

The main part of the role is as follows…

  • Work closely with the Business Development Director to plan and manage the new business development database.
  • Research and identify potential new clients, identifying the decision makers within the client organisation.
  • Achieve the lead generation and financial targets set quarterly and annually
  • Attend relevant conferences, networking/industry events, etc.
  • Work collaboratively with the Marketing Manager on marketing/ new business Initiatives
  • Provide weekly reporting and updates on new business initiatives to the Senior Management team.
  • Attend New Business meetings
  • Work with the relevant teams across the business to create robust proposals to subsequent client briefs
  • Involvement in pitches – being a core part of the team responsible for delivering a pitch
  • Contact potential clients on a frequent basis, and have a thorough understanding of their business, their competitive landscape and their challenges.

Ideally you will have the following…

  • Have some experience within a sales/ business development role
  • Experience working in FMCG/ branding (preferred)
  • Educated to degree standard or equivalent ideally but not essential
  • Demonstrate strong commercial acumen to identify business opportunities that generate long term revenue
  • Strong written skills
  • Ability to analyse market data and use the information to engage with clients
  • Ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholder’s client side both junior to senior
  • Resilient, tenacious and energetic attitude
  • Excellent time management and organisation, with the ability to manage a multitude of leads at any one time
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with the ability to create PowerPoint Presentations using templates and to create Excel spreadsheets using basic formulas
