Senior Admissions Manager

12 month fixed term maternity contract

Birmingham based hybrid role (once or twice a week in the office)

Do you have experience of working in Higher Education Admissions or similar and experience of managing multiple work priorities, in a complex, multi-stakeholder operational management environment?

Have you managed people and lead and motivated teams and individuals?

Do you have experience of dealing with large volumes of data and the utilisation of customer management systems and student record system?

And also an understanding of the full student lifecycle from enquiry to alumni and understanding of the importance of admissions processes in maintaining student records and contribution to overall student experience?

What does the Senior Admissions Manager role involve?

  • You will be responsible to drive the number and the quality of Home and EU applications and accepted offers, by providing efficient, fair, responsive and transparent service to all our applicants, leading, motivating, managing and developing the Home/EU Admissions staff in accordance with the University partners’ policies and procedures.
  • To manage the admissions processes within the team and to ensure that applications are reviewed and decisions made to agreed turnaround targets by each member of staff.
  • To implement the best practice in admissions processes and to ensure that all University partners policies are followed
  • Manage the Home/EU Admissions Team, ensuring they have the knowledge, training and support to deliver a customer-centred service that is compliant with all necessary regulations
  • To implement a process for EU applicants that are deemed to be international and adhering to UKVI rules in making sure EU students are lawfully studying and living in the UK
  • Knowledge or experience of web based student record system, UCAS weblink, UKCISA, UK NARIC
