Trade Marketing

This role will either be suitable for a Marketing Graduate or a Marketing Executive with 3/4 years experience looking for a step up to Marketing Manager. If you have experience with POS, press releases and dealing with graphic design agencies so much the better!!

This European marketing team is responsible for the management and execution of all product, brand and major event marketing launches. The department is a busy and dynamic function that supplies all European regions with the marketing assets needed to deliver the company’s ambitious financial growth targets.

What will I be be expected to do as a Trade Marketing Executive/Manager?

You will be expected to build a successful commercial marketing plan to help drive the sales and tasks will include the delivery of all key launch assets from video, photography, press releases and point of sale execution as well as day to day marketing activities.

The successful candidate will need to come into this role with the right mindset of being willing to learn and take in new information but also have the ability to take ownership of any project that they are given whilst also being able to work within the wider team.

  • To work closely with the product management EMEA teams to ensure the creation of effective marketing support materials for new product launches.
  • Maintain a strong relationship with the European marketing teams, working with them to create effective solutions and support with local implementation and translation.
  • Liaise with external marketing agencies (e.g. Creative, print, production, merchandising), creating briefs and managing projects with these agencies.
  • Take ownership of Product Information Management system to ensure that all the correct data is being maintained and feed into the downstream services
  • Working closing with all Product Management and regional Marketing Managers to develop campaigns and promotions to support the commercial plan.
  • Involvement with event management including Pan-European dealers conferences and events.
  • Preparing quarterly press releases for new products
  • Support the management and implementation of in-store POS creation for key launches
  • Create brand literature

What experience do I need?

  • 3-5 years+ experience in a similar marketing role or a Graduate entry who shows true potential
  • A 2:1 University Degree or above, ideally in business and/or marketing.
  • Experience in putting together marketing campaigns, handling budgets and ability to demonstrate ROI
  • Highly motivated and eagerness to fulfil the position’s responsibilities effectively and in a timely fashion.
  • Strong computer skills, especially in software packages such as: MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.
  • Candidates must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
  • Enthusiasm to travel, as appropriate, both internationally (mainly Europe) and in the UK.
  • A good team spirit and a strong self-starter.
